Nobody is perfect – and we don’t claim that! But we believe that even small steps count, as long as they go in the right direction. And in line with the approach “we’re all in this together”, you will find a list of our measures regarding sustainability below.
With the Tegernsee Card, you can get around Lake Tegernsee without a car, depending on your preferences. Are you travelling without a car but by public transport? If you present your train or bus ticket (from all travellers) at check-in, you will receive a discount of EUR 8 per night on your accommodation price. A small gift from us to you. By bike or on foot counts as well, of course.
We will also be happy to give you tips on how to organise your car-free holiday. With the Tegernsee Card, which you get on arrival, you can, for example:
- Free use of buses throughout the district and BRB trains between Tegernsee and Moosrain.
- Board the boats of the Bavarian Lakes Administration free of charge on two single trips per day.
- 50% discount at the e-scooter rental, the Wallbergbahn and other providers.

During our renovation, we placed special emphasis on working with regional craftsmen, using local woods and natural materials. Many things, such as old wooden beams, wrought-iron lamps and fireplaces were reused or preserved.
You will find an excellent night’s sleep on the COCO-Mat natural mattresses in all apartments. COCO-Mat uses only natural materials in its production, which ensures a particularly natural and comfortable sleep.
We use mostly biodegradable cleaning agents, including those from Sonett and Frosch. Toilet paper, kitchen roll and also the paper in the printer are made of recycled paper.
Our certified “Stop the Water while using me” hotel cosmetics (shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and soap) are provided in 100% recycled, reusable dispensers.
The kitchen towels, toilet paper and copy paper are recycled.
And last but not least: You decide when and how often you want to get a room cleaning, and also when and how often your towels and bed linen will be changed.
The vast majority of our breakfast products are sourced from our regional partners, such as the Naturkäserei Tegernsee, the bakery Krupp, and the butcher Holnburger. Egg dishes from free-range chickens are a matter of course, as is fresh fruit from our trusted supplier, the fruit wholesaler Wunderlich from Gmund.
By the way, we get our fair-trade coffee from Coffee Circle, and the best thing about it is that for every kg of coffee we buy, Coffee Circle invests 1 euro in drinking water projects in the growing regions.
